One Of The Leaders In The Commercial Productions In Middle East And Africa, Part Of Filmmaster Group
Filmmaster Mea Productions, one of the international leaders in the production of TV commercials and documentary films with offices in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Riyadh and Doha, and part of Filmmaster Group (FMG), welcomes its new Italian Executive Producer Andrea Ciarla.
Andrea Ciarla is a well-known name in the TV production industry. After 6 years as TV Producer in Saatchi& Saatchi, he became Ceo and Executive Producer of New Partners productions house, and many successful campaigns produced for significant clients bear his signature.
Andrea Ciarla explains “One of my goals was to enter an international reality with at the same time Italian spirit. Filmmaster is the only Group in the production industry that perfectly embodies these aspects. From a personal point of view, I had been thinking for a long time to do a working experience abroad and I reckoned a florid market such as the UAE was a good start. I think that Italian style can make the difference in this region. The Italian quality is well known in the commercials production industry”.
Piero Cozzi, Chief Executive Officer and Partner at Filmmaster Mea, says “We are very proud that such a professional producer as Andrea Ciarla has decided to join us. He strongly believes that directors and new talents are the focus of a commercial studio, something which Filmmaster Mea has always been focusing on. We think that he will be able to give our company strong and efficient support and development.”
Andrea Ciarla’s strategy to develop Filmmaster Mea Productions is encouraging innovative cross-connections between Filmmaster Mea’s two production units, commercials and events, offering a 360° service to clients and agencies and also to promote the Filmmaster roaster of directors.
He believes that in the UAE market, which has specific characteristics but is also extremely international at the same time, young talents of the rich Filmmaster roaster such as Marco Gentile (Freddy’s campaign The Slounge Way, Carrera’s campaign After all, No Regrets, Durex’s campaign Impancientes) Alessandro Pacciani (Alfa Romeo’s campaign Power Station), and Jason Harrington (Findus campaign Change), are very suitable.
Andrea Ciarla has joined Filmmaster Mea Productions this month and he has already on-going productions such as two films for the new Pepsi Arabia “Express Yourself” campaign, not on air yet, signed by the award winning director Josh Taft; a Burger King Television campaign directed by the young and talented directors duo, Sebastian Funke & Jan Vogel; a just confirmed job for Johnson& Johnson.
Filmmaster Mea constitutes Filmmaster Group’s arm in the Middle East and Africa since 2007. Founded in Italy in 1976 as a commercial production company, Filmmaster rapidly became Europe’s market leader.
One of the key elements in Filmmaster’s success is its cooperation with some of the best directors such as Federico Fellini, Spike Lee, Michael Haussman, Sam Bayer, Daniele Luchetti, Ferzan Ozpetek, Sergio Castellitto, David Lynch. Filmmaster won a total of 27 Lions at Cannes (8 Golden Lions); no other production company ever achieved such a great result before.

“Ǝvolution” Comes Full Circle At The Chelsea Film Festival
The Chelsea Film Festival, running from October 16th through October 20th, 2024, at Regal Cinemas here in Union Square, is set to host the East Coast premiere of Ǝvolution, a thought-provoking experimental micro-short film that proves big ideas can come in small packages and in perfect circles.
In just 1 minute 16 seconds, this cinematic gem by Award-Winning Director Romina Schwedler, with original music by Argentine Composer Ignacio Montoya Carlotto, explores a cycle as old as time: life leads to progress, progress leads to destruction, and destruction, well, leads back to life. But is this vicious circle unbreakable? Ǝvolution suggests the answer is yes, unless we decide to open our eyes.
Inspired by the overwhelming number of recent events that threaten human existence, Ǝvolution, possibly the shortest film in this 12th edition of the festival, plays out entirely through the symbolism of circles, cleverly illustrating —in the blink of an eye— the repeating patterns of history, and confronting viewers with the uncomfortable truth that our so-called “progress” may, in fact, be guiding us to our own ruin.Premiering at the Regal 14 Union Square, New York City, on October 18, 2024, at 11 a.m., Romina Schwedler's micro-short, featuring Leah Young with cinematography by Alan J. Carmona, will be sure to spark conversations longer than the film itself! Forcing viewers to reconsider the true meaning of evolution, not just as a biological process, but as a reflection of our collective journey as humans.
With a string of festival appearances across the globe, including CineGlobe at CERN (Switzerland/France), Oscar®... Read More
