NY/LA based MacGuffin Films commercial director, Rob Cohen, is once again available for agency projects having just wrapped the filming of “I, Alex Cross.” Cohen adapted the script from the 16th novel in James Patterson’s best-selling series and filmed it over the past six months in Cleveland and Detroit.
Rob cast Tyler Perry, in a complete and serious departure from his Madea make-up, as the lead role of D.C.-based detective and psychologist Alex Cross. The film also stars MacGuffin Films Director/Actor/Writer Ed Burns, Mathew Fox of LOST fame, acclaimed international french star Jean Reno, John C. McGinely, and Rachel Nichols amongst others.
Cohen, who is known for his excellent visual story-telling, stunt-action, and vfx oriented films, also saw the 5th installment of his “Fast and The Furious” film series do enormous box-office numbers world-wide with “Fast 5” this summer. “I, Alex Cross” is slated for a 2012 Christmas release next year.
Rob Cohen has directed spots for Chase Bank, Coca-Cola, Mercedes, Coors, Pontiac, Burger King, and many others, and he’s excited to collaborate on new commercial projects that will take advantage of his skill-set.
