THE SPOTS
Four :15s show how far people will go for the taste of French’s Mustard. In "Diner," a woman rushes toward a fellow restaurant patron—a complete stranger—and kisses him, drawn by the smudge of Sweet Onion Mustard left on his cheek while eating a sandwich. "Clown" shows a young boy and a clown battling over the last remaining hot dog at a party. The clown winds up squirting the boy in the face with his plastic flower, thus "winning" the Classic Yellow Mustard-slathered wiener. "Double Dip" features a male party guest dancing uncomfortably to music while surveying the room. Just as he thinks his act has fooled everyone, he goes in for the kill, double-dipping his half-eaten chicken nuggets into a bowl of Sweet & Tangy Honey Mustard, only to be busted by a female partygoer. And "Dog Talk," which spotlights the French’s no-crust cap, opens on two friends about to enjoy some hot dogs. One guy garnishes his wiener with French’s Classic Yellow Mustard. Impressed with the new stay-clean bottle, the man utters, "Whoa," while his pet dog exclaims, "No crust!" The man’s friend is amazed by the pooch speaking, while the hot dog-eater states, "I know, no crust," oblivious to the fact that his pet spoke.
