Untitled Films (www.untitledfilms.ca) announced today the new signings of directors Phil Brown and Jamie Travis. Both based in Toronto, Brown and Travis add more top tier talent to Untitled Films‘ Canadian ONLY roster.
Brown’s professional background includes applying his directorial vision to TV ads for clients such as Volkswagen, Pillsbury, Wachovia, Bell and Ikea. His filmmaking combines beautiful evocative photography with a natural empathy and understanding of his subject(s). Brown is additionally represented by Mighty Film, Venice; Markenfilm, Hamburg; and Dog Films, Paris.
Travis has often been compared to directors such as David Lynch, Todd Solondz and Douglas Sirk and is well known for his visually minded films such as ‘The Armoire’ and ‘The Saddest Boy in the World’; in turn Travis brings his detailed aesthetic and unique voice to his commercial work. Travis’ professional experience includes working with clients such as McDonalds, Worldwide Short Film Festival, Walmart, Kruger and Kinder. Most recently, Travis wrapped picture on his first Hollywood feature film starring Justin Long and Seth Rogen.
