THE SPOTS
Six :15s showcase vignettes of relationships between people and their pets. In "Flute," a woman practices her instrument, and as the camera pulls out, it is revealed that her pet bird is enjoying the music while perched on the end of the flute. In "Photo Booth," a young man takes a series of wacky pictures of himself and his tabby cat. "Pool" features a woman reclining on her float and, as the camera pans out, her golden retriever is also in the pool—on his own float. They both reach out and touch, hand and paw. "Hairdo" shows a woman and her dog with identical hair styles, complete with pink bows. In "Snorkler," a man wearing snorkel gear immerses his head in a fish tank, as he tells the fish that he loves them. And "Lullaby" shows a man in a Hawaiian shirt singing a ditty to his pet iguana. The commercials end with the tagline, "Supermarkets are for people. Petco is for pets."
