After experiencing significant growth during its first year, Forge, a specialty branding and marketing agency located in Portland, Maine is re-launching on August 16 as Might & Main.
“With might and main” is a phrase derived from the old English which means “with all of one’s effort and strength; with all the vigor, force or energy at one’s command.”
As a result of its first-year growth, including winning several nationally-recognized clients, and a 2011 HOW Promotional Design Award from How Magazine, Forge principals Sean Wilkinson, Arielle Walrath and Kevin Brooks are increasingly shifting their focus to competing on the national stage and to creative collaboration to provide clients the power of a full-service agency under a small roof. The new name, Might & Main, provides a more unique identity that better demonstrates the agency’s collective creative force.
“Our work—which we’ve dubbed “intelligent brandsmithery”—is informed by the past while looking to the future. We aim to craft bold timeless brands that people will connect with on a genuine level,” said Sean Wilkinson, principal at Might & Main and one of Maine Today’s recently-selected Forty Under 40. “Our new name better reflects that vision and speaks more accurately to our creative strength as a team and our determination to provide our clients with impressive, meaningful and sometimes unexpected solutions.”
The leadership, location, and all other aspects of the company remain the same with principals Wilkinson, Brooks, and Walrath continuing to nurture their commitment to top-notch strategy, design and development for their clients, along with a new business focus on expansion and job creation.
