Following their successful partnership last year, the Art Directors Club and dmexco, the leading international exposition and conference for digital marketing, advertising and media, have again joined forces, this time for the inaugural UBERCLOUD pre-conference event exploring new dimensions of creativity, brand building and entertainment in the digital world.
“UBERCLOUD – the visible mass of digital creativity” ((www.ubercloud.de)) takes place on September 20, 2011 at the Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany, one day before dmexco 2011 (www.dmexco.com, September 21-22). Last year’s dmexco attracted approximately 16,000 attendees and more than 350 exhibitors from around the world.
Impetus for UBERCLOUD grew out of conversations following last year’s conference between dmexco organizers, Doug Jaeger, ADC president and partner, JaegerSloan, New York, and Jeff Benjamin, chief creative officer, partner, CP+B, both of whom spoke at dmexco 2010. Recognizing the evolving nature of digital creativity, work began on developing a standalone, day-long event that would bring together top global creative, media and brand leaders to discuss digital branding trends and explore what the future holds. Jacob Cohen, senior strategist at Wolff Olins, led content development efforts on behalf of ADC (www.adcglobal.org). Other organizations contributing to UBERCLOUD include the Art Directors Club Germany, Miami Ad School and The One Club.

“Technology has changed the concept of the brand, and presents both great opportunities and challenges for creatives,” said Olga Grisaitis, director, ADC. “We are excited to again partner with the dmexco, and contribute content and speakers for this full day of discussion and discovery about the future of digital creative.”
“People now have access to brands in ways never previously imagined,” said Christian Muche, director of business development, strategy & international, dmexco. “As advertisers reach out to consumers through social media and build relationships through integrated campaigns and platforms, brands must be flexible enough to remain honest and approachable at every stage. UBERCLOUD will examine the challenges faced by agencies and brands, and provide an inspiration for digital creativity.”
