LA-based production company ContagiousLA releases commercials for online tax giant, CompleteTax. The three spot campaign imagines possibilities for the time you’ll save on your taxes. Whether salsa dancing, biking across country, or riding the Slip n’ Slide with the kids, the point of the campaign is not to focus on the tax process, but glorify the benefits of a tax-free lifestyle. The campaign runs nationwide through April.
ContagiousLA continues to be an active Google partner, attracting many online-based companies. “Tax commercials can tend to be very dry and pedantic. CompleteTax wanted to turn that stereotype on its head and offer something life-style oriented,” says co-founder and Executive Producer Natalie Sakai, “with these ads, we wanted to pick vibrant, fun, very kinetic subjects,” she ads, “Needless to say, we had a heck of a lot of fun”.
In "Salsa", Norman Bellevue funnels the money and time he saves towards dance lessons. "Slip n’ Slide" focuses on a working mom who now finds time to ride the Slip n’ Slide with her kids. And in "Moto", a couple finds the time to take a road trip across the country. After all, you’ve got better things to do than your taxes.
