With the 3rd Okinawa International Movie Festival set to be held on March 18, 2011, we are inviting submissions of video footage for a short-film competition, dubbed “Worldwide Laugh,” which is a new genre of “Comedy Movie Content” that Yoshimoto Kogyo sends out to the world.
We are accepting video clips which suite the theme “Express without using words the joy of the moment when you score a goal.” Applications can be made via the NICO NICO DOUGA or Geinin2 websites.

“Worldwide Laugh” Application Guidelines
Theme for submission: Express without using words the joy of the moment when you score a goal
— Application Period: January 28 to March 4, 2011
— Content of Entries:
1. A video clip that can make people of any nationality laugh without translation.
2. Subtitles may be used, but the film should not rely on them.
3. The running time of the video is no more than three minutes.
4. Please specify an English title in either the alphabet or numbers.

A prize of one million yen will be awarded for the production that wins the Grand Prix, along with recognition as a Yoshimoto Kogyo “Geinin 2.”
About “Geinin 2”
The objective of the project is to scout entertainers in the digital age. After recognizing them as Geinin2, Yoshimoto Kogyo will offer them jobs in digital areas. Applicants can make entries by answering a question posted on the website (http://geinin2.jp).
Then, a jury of Yoshimoto’s staff entertainers, employees and writers will judge the answers submitted and then decide on Geinin 2 after rounds of screening.
