Are there any sports fans more passionate than football fans? If the new <a href=" http://www.youtube.com/now.dit#g/c/DA44D87D16DB614F”>DirecTV campaign for its NFL Sunday Ticket premium service, created by agency Deutsch, New York, and edited by award-winning editorial/post house now. is any gauge the answer is a resounding no.
The campaign humorously depicts the reactions of local fans that find out their neighbors can now.watch other teams at home and on their mobile devices thanks to <a href=" http://www.youtube.com/now.dit#g/c/DA44D87D16DB614F”>DirecTV‘s NFL Sunday Ticket.
“Waitress” depicts an ornery waitress and Dallas Cowboys fan exercising a bit of vengeance via iced tea for some Eagles-rooting business travelers watching the game on their PDAs. “Cheeseheads” centers on the matriarch of a family of Greenbay Packers fan talking with her priest about the new “family that moved in down the block from San Fran” who watch the 49ers every week on <a href=" http://www.youtube.com/now.dit#g/c/DA44D87D16DB614F”>DirecTV. She welcomes them to the neighborhood with a cheese platter with the words “dirt bag” spelled in cheese cubes.
Several of the spots in the campaign are currently airing with others scheduled to roll out in the coming weeks.
“Myself, Nelson Leonard and Jesse Reisner cut the campaign as a team with Nelson handling five of the first eleven spots,” Owen Plotkin, Editor/President of now. says. ”The tight schedule and the number of spots rolling out at the same time demanded an all-hands-on-deck approach. These were funny scripts so in terms of cutting, we knew we had to keep it simple and let the stories and the performances lead the way.”
