charlieuniformtango turns 15 this year and celebrated with an industry-wide party at their 10,000 square-foot-space at One Arts Plaza, 1722 Routh Street, Suite 204, Dallas, Texas 75201, the building is a centerpiece of the city’s growing urban arts center.
Almost 400 commercial film production and editing professionals, as well as area agency creatives turned out for the event held Friday, October 15th from 8pm until midnight.
“We are so excited to be a part of the growing arts district in Dallas,” said charlieuniformtango president/executive producer Lola Lott. “We’ve become an official sponsor of the Dallas Arts District and plan on participating in other events to promote the area. Our 15th anniversary, along with our new space, seemed like the perfect opportunity to show the Arts District to as many of our clients and friends as possible.” The Dallas Arts District was created to be at the heart of the city as a cultural and community resource.
Guests enjoyed beverages and hors d’oeuvres by The Food Company, plus E-Frogs โ great little electric carts โ provided free transportation throughout the evening giving guests tours of the neighborhood. An exhibit of original photographs by Randal Ford was on display throughout the charlieuniformtango offices.
Gifts from Arts District neighbors were given out at drawings throughout the evening as well. The Dallas Museum of Art, The Nasher Sculpture Center, TITAS, area restaurants, and photographer Stewart Cohen contributed a signed copy of his new coffee table book of portraits, Identity, among other event tickets and prizes. The evening was also a block party for the Arts District so all live performance venues, museums, restaurants were open until midnight.
charlieuniformtango also sponsored the showing of a film titled CUTS โcharlieuniformtango selects โ a retrospective showcasing 15 years of TV commercial film work by tango, and subsidiary production company, Liberal Media Films. The film was shown on a 28′ screen set up outdoors with tables and chairs for viewers.
The new space allows for all of charlieuniformtango‘s editorial, online, design, production and audio services to be conveniently located on one floor without sacrificing any of the expansive common areas and lounges that have helped make the company such an accommodatingโand funโplace to work for 15 years.
“We’re so grateful to the community and all our clients and friends for their support throughout the years. It was a great way to say thank you, and have fun!” Lott concluded.
