Bodega's Work Is Award-Worthy and Effective; Trailer for Author Seth Grahame-Smith's Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter Got 300,000+ Hits In First Week
Bodega, a new full service production company, launches in New York City. Bodega has already enjoyed immediate success with USA Network’s “Character Story” vignettes, the launch of the Cooking Channel and original content for Barney’s and Western Union.
With an eye toward the future of the entertainment industry, Bodega was founded in the model of a classic film studio.
With current work ranging from epic book trailers to feature film titles to next-generation television network brand promotions, Bodega exists to conceive and execute creative assignments that cross genres, and define new ones.
“This is the future of the film and TV industry,” commented Bodega‘s Executive Creative Director, Adam Reid. “We take on projects because we think we can add something to the creative process. We offer a true one-stop solution with specialized talent for every stage of production from directing to editorial, design through the final score and sound mix. This allows us to maintain very close control of every step of the process, and results in work in which we take great pride.”
Bodega‘s work so far has been both award-worthy and effective. Their book trailer for author Seth Grahame-Smith’s “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter” garnered over 300,000 hits online in its first week alone and the book became an immediate New York Times Bestseller. And Adam Reid‘s feature film “Hello Lonesome” is currently a darling of the film festival circuit where it has won numerous awards including a jury prize from the Los Angeles Film Festival.
Bodega has immediately enjoyed success with a new breed of co-branded productions such as USA Network’s “Character Story” vignettes made for Volkswagen and Subaru through USA’s Character Brandworks. Reid says, “Our team is experienced working with both agencies and networks. As a creative who just wants to make cool things, that versatility is liberating.” Bodega‘s other recent work includes helping Food Network launch the new Cooking Channel as well as original content for Barney’s, VH1, and Western Union.

“Ǝvolution” Comes Full Circle At The Chelsea Film Festival
The Chelsea Film Festival, running from October 16th through October 20th, 2024, at Regal Cinemas here in Union Square, is set to host the East Coast premiere of Ǝvolution, a thought-provoking experimental micro-short film that proves big ideas can come in small packages and in perfect circles.
In just 1 minute 16 seconds, this cinematic gem by Award-Winning Director Romina Schwedler, with original music by Argentine Composer Ignacio Montoya Carlotto, explores a cycle as old as time: life leads to progress, progress leads to destruction, and destruction, well, leads back to life. But is this vicious circle unbreakable? Ǝvolution suggests the answer is yes, unless we decide to open our eyes.
Inspired by the overwhelming number of recent events that threaten human existence, Ǝvolution, possibly the shortest film in this 12th edition of the festival, plays out entirely through the symbolism of circles, cleverly illustrating —in the blink of an eye— the repeating patterns of history, and confronting viewers with the uncomfortable truth that our so-called “progress” may, in fact, be guiding us to our own ruin.Premiering at the Regal 14 Union Square, New York City, on October 18, 2024, at 11 a.m., Romina Schwedler's micro-short, featuring Leah Young with cinematography by Alan J. Carmona, will be sure to spark conversations longer than the film itself! Forcing viewers to reconsider the true meaning of evolution, not just as a biological process, but as a reflection of our collective journey as humans.
With a string of festival appearances across the globe, including CineGlobe at CERN (Switzerland/France), Oscar®... Read More
