SPOT WELDERS is pleased to announce that LIVIO SANCHEZ has joined the company.
Sanchez one of the most sought-after and award winning editors, has moved to Spot Welders, bringing with him a extensive and diverse body of stellar editorial work, including commercials, music videos, documentaries, and independent films. Most recently he cut the much-publicized Wilderness Downtown a HTML5 film by Chris Milk, for the band Arcade Fire. Livio regularly collaborates with Chris on music videos as well as commercial work.
Sanchez joins Spot Welders following an illustrious bicoastal and global editing career.
He has worked with such notable directors as Kathryn Bigelow, Scott Hicks, The Hughes Brothers, Janusz Kaminski, Chris Milk, Stacy Peralta, and Marc Webb. He also works with advertising agencies such as The Martin Agency, GSD&M, DDB, Weiden & Kennedy, and advertisers and brands such as Nike, Google, Anheuser Busch, The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, ESPN and PBS.

Livio, who edited the much heralded original Budweiser ‘Wassup’ spot, began his career at Mad River Post, where he first worked with Dick Gordon on a Miller Lite package. From there his career progressed from eight years at the Whitehouse and then Final Cut, before Filmcore (now Beast) in 2007. During this time, he has amassed various awards including a Cannes Gold Lion, AICP, AICE, MVPA and D&AD to name a few. He is a visual storyteller who manages to balance the emotion and intent of a film with a collaborative style and stays at the forefront of technology and style to keep telling stories in a new and innovative way.
