Yessian Music brings on board Sorted Noise, a music writing and producing team lead by Thad Beaty, touring guitarist of the Grammy Award winning band Sugarland. Sorted Noise’s Artist Alliance is a partnership with a select group of artists that creates original music for TV, film and advertising. With a foundation made up of licensable talents such as Secrets in Stereo, Julie Downs, Perrin Lamb, Kimberly Quinn and Jeff Cohen’s project, Pancho’s Lament; the “Alliance” roster grows weekly, multiplying the opportunities to tap into a creative collaboration with artists hand picked to create specifically for licensing.
The Sorted Noise Alliance brings forth the opportunity to collaborate with a group of artists whose musical credits can be heard through performances and on renowned albums for Beyoncรฉ, Norah Jones, Sugarland, Backstreet Boys and Jonas Brothers. With a broad understanding of music rights and licensing, Sorted Noise music has been featured over 75 times in the past two years in film, TV, and advertising.
“We are so excited about this new collaboration and the opportunity to work with such an incredibly talented group of artists who – as well as being gifted musicians, also have an innate understanding of our business.” States Yessian Executive Producer Marlene Bartos, “This is such a perfect fit with our own model of working with artists to create original work for our clients; combined with this new partnership it gives us the ability to offer them an even broader array of choices.”
Sorted Noise was created by the production/writing team of Thad Beaty and Jason Collum around their network of music industry professionals. Both producers have extensive writing, performing and production credits, cumulatively reaching over 10 million in sales. Josh Collum – aka Secrets in Stereo – joined the team after all 15 songs he’d recorded with Sorted Noise were placed in film, TV, or advertisements 50 times over. Along with that music licensing pedigree, Josh brings years of marketing education and experience and serves as the Creative Director for the Artist Alliance.
Head of Production/Owner of Yessian Music, Michael Yessian includes,”Thad and I have been following each other for the past couple of years and thought that it was time to bring together our creative forces. With this opportunity we’re able to offer up a select group of award winning artists that understand how songwriting transforms into other forms of media.”
Sorted Noise’s Thad Beaty adds, “We’re very excited about this partnership with Michael and his team; we’ve always admired the work that they’ve done. We’re looking forward to working in conjunction with Michael and this talented group of artists to create high-quality custom work for specific campaigns.”
Sorted Noise artists highlights include back up singing with artists Brooks and Dunn, songwriting for Macy Gray, theme songs and placement for TV shows Dawson’s Creek and One Tree Hill, Grey’s Anatomy and songs featured in films such as The Sister Hood of the Traveling Pants and Princess Diaries.
As of late, Sorted Noise’s network and commercial work has been featured in a National radio spot for Gap, promos for Private Practice (ABC), One Tree Hill (The CW) and the “Space Chimps” video game.
