Accounting has some basic rules: An operating loss ought to be placed in the minus column of the balance sheet, for instance. And documents should always be filed for later reference, not shredded under cover of night. Golf, of course, has its basic rules too: You play the ball where it lies, and you hit your drive from behind the tee markers. If you lose your ball, you don’t just drop another ball while no one’s looking. You have to take responsibility-and a stroke and distance penalty.
"Corporate Reporting," a new :60 (with a :30 lift) for accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC), explores golf course rule breaking to hilarious effect while underscoring the importance of following the rules when preparing the books. The spot was created by Hill Holliday, New York, and directed by Ben Younger, who is repped for spots by bicoastal Chelsea Pictures.
Principal actors in this spot were Eric McLendon, Chris Dolman, Doug McInnis and Mike Aubele. The SAG/AFTRA Commercials Contract Standing Committee has granted a waiver to allow commercials to be available for viewing on SHOOTonline.com. The spots cannot be copied, downloaded or emailed.
