Production and Post-Production House is Creative Partner and Collaborator of Independent Music Festival for Fourth Consecutive Year
Optimus, via its live-action production arm ONE at Optimus, is the official production partner of the Pitchfork Music Festival, a three-day event showcasing more than 40 of independent music’s best bands and artists. With a passion for the festival and the independent music scene, Optimus has collaborated with Pitchfork for the fourth year running to capture the spirit of the festival on film. The production and post-production house created, shot and edited content for the festival and also is handling all aspects of live video feeds of performances and crowds during the show. The Pitchfork Music Festival takes place at Chicago’s Union Park Friday, July 16 through Sunday, July 18.
“It has always been amazing to see the festival in video action,” said Pitchfork Music Festival Director Mike Reed. “For the past four years, our production partner Optimus has fulfilled our dreams of capturing and broadcasting the festival happenings. As an event that retains its boutique nature, it’s a huge feat to be able to present such impressive technical features to our fans around the world. This is all thanks to Optimus and ONE at Optimus, who fully understand the essence of the festival and the independent music community.”
Optimus Audio Guru Joel Anderson leads the team responsible for all aspects of coordinating, shooting and producing live video feeds of the performances and crowds that will be projected on jumbotrons and streamed live on the media page of the festival website, enabling people around the world to watch the independent music festival. Optimus also created original video content to promote the festival and the brand, and will run two such pieces on the screens between bands during the festival.
“We are very excited to be the official production partner of the Pitchfork Music Festival again this year,” said Anderson. “Optimus and ONE at Optimus have always viewed this as a passion project, and our dedication to the festival and the indie music community comes through in our work. Our long-standing partnership with the festival is evidence of Optimus’ flexibility and our ability to handle any production assignment from a creative perspective.”

A&G’s New Third Space Studios Fills A Community Gap
A&G's (Allen & Gerritsen) new Third Space Studios is not just a full-service production offering for the creative agency. It's filling a gap in the community by making a complete video and production facility (live-action studio, production extension, editorial & motion, and audio services for podcasting, voice-over and online audio) available to all. Larger organizations like Blue Cross Blue Shield Massachusetts and Meet Boston, individuals like creators and collaborators, and nonprofits like the Boston Symphony Orchestra and The Wonderfund are already accessing both the space and the affordable creative and production support that comes with it. The Wonderfund has even tapped the studio for an entire brand relaunch. The studio is an extension of A&G’s Third Space, a new concept the agency opened in Boston and Philadelphia last year to give employees, clients, creators, and even startup incubators (Boston currently has two) a place to gather, dream, and innovate in comfortable surroundings. Located inside its Boston location (125 High Street), Third Space Studios is available to the Tishman Speyer building’s tenants who can use its ZO building app to request studio services ranging from studio rentals to co-creation to full-service production. Other businesses nationwide can request services through the studio website. Albolene, Certain Dri, and ThermaCare are examples of national clients that have utilized... Read More
