Boutique creative facility Northern Lights is proud to announce that George Carty has been promoted to Editor.
“George’s quick cutting, music-heavy style blends well with our creative philosophy and fits in perfectly with our cutting edge roster,” says Northern Lights partner David Gioiella.
“George has proven himself,” adds partner Mark Littman. “He has a distinctive style and a superb demeanor that is ideally suited for complex projects.”
George has worked with networks such as USA, VH1, Centric, Nickelodeon, Oxygen, as well as brands such as Neosporin and Sprite/MSN.
Writer/Producer Kelly Wollschlager, who worked with George on the Cooking Channel launch campaign, says “If there is a new generation of editors, George is at the top of my list as one of the best.”
Currently, George is editing promos for USA‘s highly rated “White Collar” and “Burn Notice” and he’s working on a promo for Disney’s new movie “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.” George also just cut a music video for rising star vocal duo Kindred, which is airing on VH1 Soul.

Northern lights is a boutique that edits, finishes, mixes, designs and creates visual effects for commercials, TV shows, Webisodes and movies. We’re staffed by 25 talented editors and artists. Since launching in 1995, we’ve found innovative ways to tell stories and interpret footage. Our work includes commercial campaigns for Continental Airlines, General Mills cereals and US Bank. Promos for “Burn Notice”, “White Collar” and others that have made USA the nation’s number one cable network. And Emmy winning audio work for The History Channel. As well as award winning short and feature films. As a result, we’re always growing. In fact, the Inc. 500 named us one of the fastest growing private companies in the U.S.
