Rooster Post Production is pleased to announce that Paul Jutras has joined their editorial roster.
Jutras, a Quebec native and one of the most sought-after editors on the Montreal scene, has made his move into the Toronto market bringing with him a stellar editorial mix of commercials, feature films and music videos. He will be cutting his first project at Rooster with advertising agency Red Urban and director Mark Gilbert.
Jutras joins Rooster following great critical success with projects such as the award winning film ‘C.R.A.Z.Y’ (Genie and Jutra awards for editing) and an impressive commercial reel featuring recent spots for Sport Chek, Dairy Farmers of Canada, Literacy Foundation, Volkswagen, Fido and the much-admired 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics brand spot for Bombardier directed by Jean-Michel Ravon.
Richard Unruh; senior editor/partner says “I was watching the Winter Olympics and what really caught my attention was the storytelling visuals, the subtle humor and the pace of the editing on the recent Bombardier spot.”
Mick Griffin; senior editor/partner adds “I’ve been a huge fan of Paul’s ever since I saw the film ‘C.R.A.Z.Y’, I’m really looking forward to working with him โ his work is great.”
Paul began his career as an assistant for Gaëtan Huot, editor/owner at Création Montage in old Montreal in 1995. Gaëtan mentored the young talent, with Jutras working as assistant editor on the critically acclaimed “The Red Violin” (Jutra award, best editing) from director François Girard.
Paul went on to work alongside Quebec film icon Jean-Marc Vallée at Création Montage on a number of projects including his editorial work on ‘C.R.A.Z.Y.’, while establishing himself as an in-demand commercial editor.
Quote from Paul Jutras; “I have been looking for the right time and company to move into the busy and competitive Toronto market โ Rooster has provided a perfect home for my talents and I am looking forward to what the future will bring.”
