THE SPOTS
Commercials promoting the NFL on FOX coverage show the FOX NFL Sunday commentators—James Brown, Howie Long and Terry Bradshaw—as stop-motion animated characters. "Cookout" (:30/:20) features San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jeff Garcia barbecuing Bradshaw; "Pursuit/Bra" and "Pursuit/Rodent" (:20s) shows Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher chasing the trio through a field; "Submarine" (:30/:20) features the threesome in an underwater adventure in a bathtub; "Wave" (:20) has the New York Giants’ Michael Strahan taking a dive into a pool, causing a tidal wave; in "Blender" (:20), St. Louis Rams quarterback Kurt Warner drinks a shake containing a pureed Bradshaw; "Projector" (:20) features Bradshaw getting tangled up in a film reel, much to the dismay of Donovan McNabb of the Philadelphia Eagles; and "Kimmel’s Travels" (:30/:20) showcases a Gulliver’s Travels-style scene, in which comedian Jimmy Kimmel is tied up by the trio, while Long pokes him with a pencil, Brown jumps up and down on him, and Bradshaw "serenades" him while playing guitar.
