Former Belief Design Exec Producer Seeks to Grow Advertising and Design Work.
<a href="www.meetprecision.com.>Precision, a full-service design, production and post production studio, has hired Marie Soto as executive producer. Previously executive producer at Belief Design, Soto will oversee projects for the company’s advertising and design clients, and will also work with the company’s founder, executive producer Joe Arnao, who is seeking to grow and diversify the business.
Soto’s experience and connections in advertising are already making an impact, according to Arnao. “Marie is helping to open new avenues and build new relationships,” Arnao says. “She adds strength to the advertising and design aspects of our business and that will allow me to focus more on our broadcast and interactive clients.”
<a href="www.meetprecision.com.>Precision‘s slate of projects has been growing rapidly over the past few months, with recent work including a large package of promos and graphics for Fox Sports and its coverage of Major League Baseball, and advertising-related work for Gatorade, Honda and TaylorMade. Soto attributes the company’s hot streak to a full service business model that appeals to ad agencies and broadcasters seeking to maximize creativity while trimming costs.
“We offer a one-stop solution,” she said. “We have everything our clients need: online and offline editing, VFX, graphics and audio. That allows us to deliver a cohesive creative vision and do it quickly and cost effectively. More and more clients are looking for companies like <a href="www.meetprecision.com.>Precision that can offer the whole package.”
Soto arrives at <a href="www.meetprecision.com.>Precision with a deep and varied background in design, visual effects and post production, and a credit list that includes work with many of the country’s top ad agencies and brands. At Belief Design, where she both executive producer and a principal, she produced projects for Visa, Nike, L.A. Tap, 1-800 Contacts, Subaru, Microsoft, LucasArts and Asics, among many others. Prior to her tenure there, she headed West Coast business development for the post house Riot in Santa Monica. Her background also includes a position as head of West Coast sales for @radical media.

“Ǝvolution” Comes Full Circle At The Chelsea Film Festival
The Chelsea Film Festival, running from October 16th through October 20th, 2024, at Regal Cinemas here in Union Square, is set to host the East Coast premiere of Ǝvolution, a thought-provoking experimental micro-short film that proves big ideas can come in small packages and in perfect circles.
In just 1 minute 16 seconds, this cinematic gem by Award-Winning Director Romina Schwedler, with original music by Argentine Composer Ignacio Montoya Carlotto, explores a cycle as old as time: life leads to progress, progress leads to destruction, and destruction, well, leads back to life. But is this vicious circle unbreakable? Ǝvolution suggests the answer is yes, unless we decide to open our eyes.
Inspired by the overwhelming number of recent events that threaten human existence, Ǝvolution, possibly the shortest film in this 12th edition of the festival, plays out entirely through the symbolism of circles, cleverly illustrating —in the blink of an eye— the repeating patterns of history, and confronting viewers with the uncomfortable truth that our so-called “progress” may, in fact, be guiding us to our own ruin.Premiering at the Regal 14 Union Square, New York City, on October 18, 2024, at 11 a.m., Romina Schwedler's micro-short, featuring Leah Young with cinematography by Alan J. Carmona, will be sure to spark conversations longer than the film itself! Forcing viewers to reconsider the true meaning of evolution, not just as a biological process, but as a reflection of our collective journey as humans.
With a string of festival appearances across the globe, including CineGlobe at CERN (Switzerland/France), Oscar®... Read More
