Matthew Puckett is an LA based songwriter and producer. His latest project is composing for an exciting new series for the Starz Network called “Gravity“. “Gravity” is an offbeat series about a support group for people who have attempted suicide. Unlikely relationships are forged when the colorful cast faces the challenges and opportunities that come along with a second shot at life. Robert and Lily, two star-crossed lovers from very different worlds, are particularly tested when the mysterious Detective Miller takes an unusual interest in them. The couple joins the likes of an aging supermodel, construction worker, hormonal teenager and picture-perfect housewife as the group learns to live and love again in New York City.
Matthew Puckett’s success writing theme songs and scores for television series and films in the past include the popular ABC series ‘HOPKINS’ which won the Peabody award for best documentary series in 2009, ‘Hooking Up’ and Showtimes ‘Still Single’. The ABC series ‘HOPKINS’ focused on lives and events at the famous Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. For this series Matthew wrote the theme song ‘So Much To Say’. He has also written music and songs for the projects such as the TLC feature film ‘Crazy Sexy Cancer’ directed by Kris Carr, ‘Particles of Truth’ directed by Jennifer Elster and ‘Some Boys Don’t Leave’ starring Jesse Eisenberg, Directed by Maggie Kiley.
Matthew is currently composing the theme song and score for a new ABC series due to air this summer, 2010. He is also currently producing and writing with several artists including Elizabeth Gillies (Nickelodeon) Jess Furman, SpaceHeat, Cathy Heller (Frontline) and Kyler England (The Rescues / Universal Republic). Matthew produced and arranged Cathy Heller’s song “Turn the Sunshine On”, which is the promo for the new NBC Comedy Line-up. Matthew is the owner of Fader 5 Studio in Los Angeles, CA.
