Red Truck Films, one of the Southeast region’s top commercial production companies, just got better. The company has signed New York-based director Jody Lauren Miller and DP-turned-director Bill Schwarz.
Jody Lauren Miller, an up-and-coming visual comedy director, cut her teeth at NFL Films where she produced, wrote and directed interstitials and promos. Her work there appeared on every major network and earned her a Gracie Award. From there she went freelance, built a commercial reel, and was soon recognized in the industry as a new director to watch.
Bill Schwarz enters commercial directing after building a beautiful DP reel shot globally for a variety of major clients. His work includes national spots with directors John Adams of Form and Chris Smith of Sugarfilm. Having lived in Colombia and Mexico City and working extensively in Los Angeles and New York, Bill now calls Dallas home. Whether collaborating as DP with other directors or focusing on his solo work, Bill loves to tell a story.
“We strive to be the premier production company in the Southeast,” said Red Truck Films‘ executive producer Cathy Wilson. “We’re excited to bring on these two talented directors who will complement our roster. Jody pulls in rich casting and draws from her improv background to create stories that make us laugh out loud. And as a veteran in the business, Bill is perfect for spots that require strong visual storytelling. He has such an ease with location shooting in any hemisphere.”
Miller and Schwarz will be exclusively represented in the Southeast by Red Truck Films. Contact Katye Rone at 919-614-0894 or Contact Kayte via email.
With a roster of award-winning directors based throughout the country, Red Truck Films, represented by Trailblazer Studios, produces spot work and non-traditional content, on location anywhere or on one of its two sound stages.
