Many US-based professionals will be taking part in the judging process across all categories at this year’s 57th Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival, the world’s largest celebration of creativity in advertising and communications and the most prestigious international annual advertising awards.
Heading the list of award-winning industry experts are Bob Scarpelli, Chairman & Chief Creative Officer of DDB Worldwide who takes on the prestigious role of Titanium & Integrated Lions Jury Chair awarding breakthrough ideas, integrated campaigns and the new Grand Prix for Good to be presented to the best charities and non-profitable work.
Mark Tutssel, Chief Creative Officer of Leo Burnett Worldwide who is one of the most awarded creative directors in the industry overseeing the work of 96 global offices will be chairing both the Film Lions and the Press Lions juries.
Jon Kamen, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of @radical.media, one of the world’s most respected content companies, will head the Film Craft category which launches this year, honouring excellence in direction, cinematography, copywriting and music in films.
Paul Taaffe, Global Chairman and CEO of Hill & Knowlton, a leading international communications consultancy providing services to local, multinational and global clients with 80 offices in 43 countries will lead the PR Lions jury.
Jeff Benjamin, Partner & Interactive Creative Director for the award winning agency Crispin Porter & Bogusky, has been appointed Jury President for the Cyber Lions section, which awards the best online advertising from around the world.
Also taking on a jury chair role is Steff Geissbuhler, Partner of C&G Partners, who is among America’s most celebrated designers of integrated brand and corporate identity programs who will lead the Design Lions jury.
Laura Desmond, Global Chief Executive Officer of the global marketing services company Starcom MediaVest Group is Jury President for the Media Lions jury.
Tina Manikas, Global Retail & Promotions Officer of DraftFCB, oversees all promotion and retail efforts for Draftfcb’s global network spanning 96 countries and will be this year’s Promo & Activation Lions Jury President.
Paul Lavoie, Chairman and Chief Creative Officer of TAXI, the independent agency which has seven offices in Canada, the U.S. and Europe, will lead the Radio Lions Jury. In 2006, he was listed by Creativity magazine among the 50 most influential creative minds of the last twenty years.
