The prestigious Dubai Lynx Advertiser of the Year Award is presented to advertisers in the MENA region who have distinguished themselves for inspiring innovative marketing of their products and who embrace and encourage the creative work produced by their agencies. This year Saudi Telecom will be honoured with this award.
Founded in 1998, STC (Saudi Telecom) is the national telecommunications services provider in Saudi Arabia, and the largest in the Middle East providing a variety of key mobile and fixed communication products and services such as broadband, business data solutions, network services to a customer base of over 25 million.
In 2009, STC won two Gold Media Lynx awards for their “New Day New Dawn” re-branding campaign, the first re-brand since the company began.
STC are also known for their innovative use of marketing their products through sports sponsorship programmes, in particular its alliance with Manchester United and Real Madrid football clubs. STC is the regional forerunner in entering the sports investment field and is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the first and only company to sponsor 12 clubs in the same league through its partnership with all the major Saudi football teams. By extending its sports sponsorship beyond the borders of the Kingdom, STC is continuing to expand its global reach, which already covers Bahrain, Kuwait, Turkey, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Africa and India.

The 3rd Dubai International Advertising Festival
The leading competition and awards for advertising creative excellence in the Middle East and Africa, will be held 14 – 16 March 2010 at The Palladium, Dubai, UAE. The Lynx Awards will take place on 17 March 2010.

High-profile international jurors will award the coveted Dubai Lynx trophy to establish the definitive standard for creative excellence in the Middle East and Africa region.
