Los Angeles Center Studios (LACS), Los Angeles’ premier independent studio and entertainment campus, announced that Current TV (CTV) and InVisM (IVM) have signed long term leases collectively totaling 30,000 square feet of leased space in one week. CTV, an Emmyยฎ award-winning cross-platform news and information media company, will relocate to downtown Los Angeles in November, 2009. While IVM, a gaming and video company that provides training, education, and operational solutions for both government and commercial applications, is already moving in. CTV and IVM both conducted an exhaustive search for their ideal office and studio spaces and discovered the creative campus at LACS surpassed their expectations.
“Current had been actively searching for space for months before touring Los Angeles Center Studios. LACS provides the unique combination of top-of-the-line resources and creative energy that we need,” said Paul Hollerbach, CFO of Current.
Ken Robinson of InVisM stated, “Los Angeles Center Studios saved InVism from leasing a warehouse. We are excited to be on a lot where we don’t have to sweat the details and can, instead, pursue synergistic opportunities around the studio.”
Over the last year, LACS has also secured long-term leases with Oskoui+Oskoui, PVJOBS and Hawthorne Direct. The long term offices at Los Angeles Center Studios are now over 95% occupied.
Gary Horowitz of Jones Lang LaSalle represented Current TV. Los Angeles Center Studios was represented by Chris Bonbright, John Tronson, and Tom Barich of Ramsey Shilling.
