Ascent Media Group today announced expanded capacity and services for its Filmcore (www.filmcore.net) Distribution group on the east coast with the move of its New York facility to 149 Fifth Avenue and expanded services at Ascent’s facility in Northvale, NJ. These moves support greater HD capacity and overall scale, as well as provide additional staffing for Filmcore Distribution’s digital asset management and data-storage services.
Filmcore provides end-to-end services for the distribution of commercial media content to broadcasters and media outlets as well as secure vaults for the long-term storage of more than 500,000 production elements and masters.
“This move creates a larger East coast footprint for us to service our clients,” said Chris Lutz General Manager of Filmcore Distribution. “Our added Northvale, NJ operations allow us to provide increased capacity and faster turnarounds for the most urgent requests. Our Vault expansion for both digital and physical assets positions us for the ongoing move toward completely file-based workflows. In addition, more broadcasters are relocating to New Jersey, making this a terrific opportunity to better fulfill our clients’ needs.”
