Spot Filmworks, Ltd. received an Emmy award for outstanding achievement in a public service announcement or campaign at the Emmy awards ceremony held in Chicago on Saturday. The Madison-based production company produced the commercial for the Alzheimer’s Association in association with Milwaukee-based advertising agency Serve Marketing.
Spot Filmworks, Ltd. was honored for the comedy commercial, titled “Get Away From You,” which features a middle-aged man chasing his oversized brain through city streets and alleyways. The concept to use a comedic approach to address a serious issue has resonated strongly with audiences.

“It is not everyday that you get to film a chase scene with a giant brain and get awarded for it,” said Graf. “But at the end of the day, it was work that makes audience’s laugh, work that went towards a good cause, and work that our company is proud of.”
