Pirate has hired Tag Gross as COO of the New York office, to supervise all aspects of the day-to-day operations in the U.S.
Tag started his music career as an artist, engineer and producer, working with a variety of artists from ACDC to The Paul Winter Consort to The King Biscuit Hour to MTV. He discovered the power of linking music to brands while working with advertising Hall of Famers Bill Backer and Carl Spielvogel, whose love of audio informed ground-breaking campaigns for Coke, Miller High Life and Miller Genuine Draft.
Gross later partnered with legendary record producer Nile Rodgers and worked on seminal campaigns for Nike and ESPN. Most recently, he was Vice President/General Manager of Elias Arts, where he led commercial productions for Fortune 500 clients and audio identity projects for VISA, Microsoft Vista and Coke.
In addition to supervising all aspects of the day-to-day operations of Pirate New York, Tag will apply his knowledge and past experience in music, advertising, marketing, sales, audio identity/branding, production, creative, licensing and new media to provide key insights that will help Pirate achieve it’s business development and growth initiatives in the US.
