Executive Producer and Creative Director Steve Dunning Named CEO of one of the largest film and video production companies in the Southwest
<a href="https://www.crmstudios.tv.>CRM Studios announces the promotion of its Chief Creative Officer, Steve Dunning, to the position of Chief Executive Officer. As CEO, Dunning will oversee the strategic direction and business operations of the fifteen-year old studios. He will also remain Chief Creative Officer, leading creative direction as well as producing and directing script-to-screen turnkey productions for the company.
“This move emphasizes the importance <a href="https://www.crmstudios.tv.>CRM Studios places on delivering unique, compelling creative,” says CRM co-owner Rand Falbaum. “Steve is always leveraging new technologies to help drive the creative process. And more than anything else, it’s this visionary perspective that’s helping drive the business. I’m confident that as CEO, Steve will further our leadership position in the new world of communications.”
Steve Dunning has been directing, editing, and producing award-winning film/video and other creative projects for over 30 years in the Dallas/Fort Worth marketplace. At CRM, he leads an organization that is as adept at shooting regional and national commercials on 35mm film as it is at producing graphics and high-definition TV, such as for GameStop’s in-store TV and Digital Signage.
“Sometimes it’s pure creative magic and other times it’s technology driven,” says Dunning. “When a European client wanted filming in 3D and 4D for a thrill ride being built in China, few studios could even come to the table. I’m proud to lead an organization that has the creative firepower, the resources, and the experience to excel and innovate in all areas.”
Formerly based in Fort Worth, Texas, <a href="https://www.crmstudios.tv.>CRM Studios has been in its new location at the Studios at Las Colinas since November of last year. The site features its own 24/7 stage area, broadcast capable control room, edit suites and graphics studios. CRM is relied upon by producers requiring select services and by corporate clients wanting complete, start-to-finish projects.

“Ǝvolution” Comes Full Circle At The Chelsea Film Festival
The Chelsea Film Festival, running from October 16th through October 20th, 2024, at Regal Cinemas here in Union Square, is set to host the East Coast premiere of Ǝvolution, a thought-provoking experimental micro-short film that proves big ideas can come in small packages and in perfect circles.
In just 1 minute 16 seconds, this cinematic gem by Award-Winning Director Romina Schwedler, with original music by Argentine Composer Ignacio Montoya Carlotto, explores a cycle as old as time: life leads to progress, progress leads to destruction, and destruction, well, leads back to life. But is this vicious circle unbreakable? Ǝvolution suggests the answer is yes, unless we decide to open our eyes.
Inspired by the overwhelming number of recent events that threaten human existence, Ǝvolution, possibly the shortest film in this 12th edition of the festival, plays out entirely through the symbolism of circles, cleverly illustrating —in the blink of an eye— the repeating patterns of history, and confronting viewers with the uncomfortable truth that our so-called “progress” may, in fact, be guiding us to our own ruin.Premiering at the Regal 14 Union Square, New York City, on October 18, 2024, at 11 a.m., Romina Schwedler's micro-short, featuring Leah Young with cinematography by Alan J. Carmona, will be sure to spark conversations longer than the film itself! Forcing viewers to reconsider the true meaning of evolution, not just as a biological process, but as a reflection of our collective journey as humans.
With a string of festival appearances across the globe, including CineGlobe at CERN (Switzerland/France), Oscar®... Read More
