Panavision Inc. announced today that William (Billy) M. Campbell III has been named to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer. He will oversee all domestic and foreign operations and management of the leading supplier of digital and film camera systemsand lighting to the motion picture and television industry.
Campbell was most recently President of Discovery Networks, where he was responsible for all aspects of the domestic television division’s 14 channels, including programming, production, affiliate sales and marketing and business development. He has also held various executive positions in programming and development at ABC, CBS and Warner Brothers Television as well as President of Miramax Television.
“Billy’s visionary leadership in the entertainment business ideally suits him to take Panavision into the next phase of our busiess,” said Panavision Chairman Ronald O.
