Best known for their expertise in creating radio friendly songs for commercials, Mophonics Music + Sound has bolstered its talent roster by signing acclaimed orchestral composer Veigar Margeirsson to work on commercial projects. One of the most sought-after composers in the film, television and advertising world, the award-winning star is best known for his original scores for major studio feature film trailers and promotions.
A native of Iceland, the LA-based composer Veigar Margeirsson began his college education at the prestigious Berklee College of Music for jazz trumpet performance, before earning his master’s degree in composition and arranging at the University of Miami. He later studied film scoring at the University of Southern California with the likes of Hollywood A-List composers. Veigar’s work ranges from simple, emotional scores for noteworthy independent films to distinctive orchestral creations for such preeminent blockbusters as IRON MAN, BATMAN BEGINS, OCEANS ELEVEN, NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN, ATONEMENT, THE DA VINCI CODE, BEOWULF and the just-released AUSTRALIA.
