Award winning agency Stun Creative and its motion graphics division, Buster Design, have just completed a major network rebrand for GSN. Stun Creative co-presidents Mark Feldstein and Brad Roth made the announcement.
Specifically, Buster developed and produced the entire “look and feel” of all promotional and navigational elements that will appear on-air, and which will be incorporated across all media platforms starting on November 6th. Feldstein & Roth point out, “Games are about having fun. And we wanted to make sure that everything about our designs expresses that mantra. The new GSN identity system has been designed to inspire playfulness.” Additionally, the logo is designed to visually recall a game board. It can be used in its native form, or it can be customized thematically for holidays, programming stunts — any event that will have meaning for GSN’s audience.
Lead by Buster’s Executive Creative Director & Executive Producer Jonas Morganstein, the design team created two versions of the new on-air GSN rebranding — a bright, 2D graphic daytime version, and a more 3D, glossy nighttime version. Buster created all promotional graphic elements, including IDs, promos, bumpers, menus, lower thirds, bugs, etc.
Said Morganstein, “The new on-air package revolves around nine moveable puzzle piece elements. The fun comes from how these simple shapes come to life and expand into a rich world of playfulness and fun that everyone can relate to. Some of the best games involve a simple set of rules and then the fun begins. As we animated the graphics, we wanted the network viewer to feel like they are playing a game. The goal is to bring to life the tagline ‘Play Every Day’ – taking viewers to another place, a place where games provide an exciting combination of challenge and fulfillment.”

“Ǝvolution” Comes Full Circle At The Chelsea Film Festival
The Chelsea Film Festival, running from October 16th through October 20th, 2024, at Regal Cinemas here in Union Square, is set to host the East Coast premiere of Ǝvolution, a thought-provoking experimental micro-short film that proves big ideas can come in small packages and in perfect circles.
In just 1 minute 16 seconds, this cinematic gem by Award-Winning Director Romina Schwedler, with original music by Argentine Composer Ignacio Montoya Carlotto, explores a cycle as old as time: life leads to progress, progress leads to destruction, and destruction, well, leads back to life. But is this vicious circle unbreakable? Ǝvolution suggests the answer is yes, unless we decide to open our eyes.
Inspired by the overwhelming number of recent events that threaten human existence, Ǝvolution, possibly the shortest film in this 12th edition of the festival, plays out entirely through the symbolism of circles, cleverly illustrating —in the blink of an eye— the repeating patterns of history, and confronting viewers with the uncomfortable truth that our so-called “progress” may, in fact, be guiding us to our own ruin.Premiering at the Regal 14 Union Square, New York City, on October 18, 2024, at 11 a.m., Romina Schwedler's micro-short, featuring Leah Young with cinematography by Alan J. Carmona, will be sure to spark conversations longer than the film itself! Forcing viewers to reconsider the true meaning of evolution, not just as a biological process, but as a reflection of our collective journey as humans.
With a string of festival appearances across the globe, including CineGlobe at CERN (Switzerland/France), Oscar®... Read More
