Art Machine, a Trailer Park company and a multi-award winning design firm specializing in print campaigns for the entertainment industry, recently conceived and produced, for client A&E Network, a unique series of national bus shelter advertising pieces, along with a massive billboard on Hollywood’s Sunset Blvd. The advertising was used to promote the fourth season launch of A&E Network’s hit series “Criss Angel Mindfreak,” which now airs every Tuesday night at 10 PM.
For the national bus shelter print advertising promotion, Art Machine delivered a unique poster that changes its imagery depending on the lighting available during a particular time of day. During daylight, the poster depicts only text and the shoes of Criss Angel floating on water. But during night time, when the poster is backlit, the same image “reveals” Angel himself within the image, as though he were floating upside down in the same water. Says Jeremy Kaplan, Creative Director, Art Machine,” This was a unique reflective effect that has never been done before in this format.”
Art Machine also produced a massive “teaser” billboard sign appearing on Hollywood’s famed Sunset Blvd., promoting the season premiere of “Criss Angel Mindfreak.” The billboard features enormous chains, which are wrapped around the sign itself, and depict the type of locks and chains from which an escape artist/magician would extricate himself. The second phase of this same sign will delete the chains, and present the same imagery as the daytime bus shelter ads.
