Sweet Spot Productions, a full-service marketing agency specializing in conceiving, developing and producing consumer and trade campaigns promoting feature films and videogames, has just produced and delivered a high profile promotional trailer which will be seen during the Cannes Film Festival. The five-minute, suspenseful and action-packed trailer, promoting the new Michael Douglas starring film “Beyond A Reasonable Doubt,” was for client Foresight Unltd, a Mark Damon company. Sweet Spot is also celebrating the company’s 2008 “Golden Trailer Award” Win. Don Scotti and Joe Takats, co-founders of Sweet Spot Productions, made the announcement.
“Beyond a Reasonable Doubt,” starring Michael Douglas, was written and directed by Peter Hyams, and produced by Foresight Unltd. Producers are Mark Damon, Limor Diamant, Moshe Diamant, Michael P. Flannigan, Ted Hartley and Peter Hyams, with Aaron Ray serving as Executive Producer.
Tamara Stuparich De La Barra, a producer with Foresight Unlimited, said, “People love this trailer. From just this short piece, they know it’s a really good movie, they love Michael Douglas in it, and they love the whole structure of it. This promo trailer has absolutely helped us to quickly make some great international sales, based simply on the trailer itself. Sweet Spot did a fantastic job, in just a week, producing a finished trailer from dailies. They turned it around very quickly and did a really amazing job.”
Sweet Spot’s 2008 “Golden Trailer Award” Win was for BEST FILM FESTIVAL TRAILER: “HorrorFest 2007: 8 Films to Die Forโ”50 Foot Woman” Trailer. Joe Takats said, "This was a challenging trailer to create. We shot it on location in Downtown Los Angeles, and on a green screen stage. The compositing and 3D graphics were done by John DeTemple. Later the project was output to film to be shown in theaters.” Don Scotti added, “Joe and I are quite honored to have won a ‘Golden Trailer’ from our three nominations this year. Envato Launches New Brand Campaign, But Isnโt Quite Finished With It Yetโฆ
Have you ever caught yourself picking apart a menuโs font instead of the food, or zoning out of a conversation because that billboardโs kerning is driving you mad? From a sound designer fixated on the pitch of a siren to a lover distracted by the typeface of a condom pack, the scenarios capture the hyper-focus of the creative mind. The campaign, a co-creation between Envatoโs in-house creative team, agency Force Carrier and production company Supaflr, reflects that very passion and attention to detail the campaign celebrates. โWe knew we needed a partner to bring our ideas to life who would feel like an extension of our own brilliant in-house teamโand Force Carrier was the perfect fit,โ...
