THE SPOTS
Two ads promote the Louisiana Lottery’s "multiplier" feature, which is available with the purchase of Powerball tickets. In the :10 teaser "Powerplay," a movie theater manager hands a customer snacks, enticing him with, "Just another dollar buys you a whole lot more." Suddenly the manager notices a strange man hoisting a ladder up outside his theater. The :30, also titled "Powerplay," picks up where the teaser leaves off. The manager confronts the man outside, who is obviously a bit on the odd side. The stranger takes a Powerball ticket out of his pocket and describes the features of the multiplier option to the manager, hops into his car and speeds off, leaving a befuddled manager behind.
